Sustainable Renovation of a 1905 Historic House
Between July and October 2024, this elegant 1905 home underwent a complete transformation into a fully energy-independent and A+++ certified property, while preserving its historical charm.

Key Energy-Efficiency Upgrades:
- Roof insulation: Kingspan Kooltherm K12
- Pitched roof insulated with 140mm PIR (Rd = 6.3)
- Façade insulated with PIR + moisture-resistant plasterboard
- Crawl space insulation: 60mm PIR
- Internal wall insulation: PIR + 4AK
- HR++ double glazing
Energy Independence Measures:
- Underfloor heating on ground and first floors
- Solar panel installation
- Daikin-Intergas 7.4 kW heat pump
Structural and Interior Renovations:
Ground Floor:
- Reconfiguration of the entrance
- Plastering and painting of walls
- Renovation of guest toilet
- PVC flooring throughout
First Floor:
- Balcony insulation (external façade)
- Complete redesign of the bathroom: laundry area, separate bathtub, shower, toilet, sink, and mirror
