The project

A 1920 semi-detached house, stripped back and rebuilt as an all-electric family home

The house dates from 1920 and stands in a protected townscape in Bussum. When we started it had energy label F, a gas boiler from 2004 and a geyser for hot water, and only the walls were insulated.

We ran the project from the first drawings through to planting the garden: the architectural and structural drawings, the permit application, a two-storey extension, a new roof and an installation that runs on electricity alone.

149 m² of living space before the works, on a plot of 244 m².
